A: LMI is mainly focused on the wholesale market targeting tele/data communications companies. The company recently expanded its reach to also now provide end-user consumers with cost-effective network solutions.

Q: When was the company founded?

A: LMI was founded in 1998 as an ancillary business to WTIC, a B2B market software development company. At the beginning of 2000, the business was spun out as a wholly separate business unit and was formally incorporated in 2004.

A: Not only does we maximize savings on network equipment, but enterprise operations. The company’s used networking equipment (XX% off retail on average) enables enterprise clients to lower network costs by approximately 40-60% when compared to new manufacturer pricing.

Q. How have you made product pricing and valuation more transparent?

A: LMI is committed to vastly improving customer satisfaction in the secondary network equipment and technology markets through new web-based models, which were custom built to offer clients an unprecedented level of transparency.

LMI has developed the following:

  1. Its own industry specific Enterprise Resource Planning application integrated into the open source Sugar CRM (this should be highlighted). This system allows LMI to scale quickly and efficiently by allowing easy integration of new employees as well as merged or acquired entities.
  2. Retail Market Valuator – LMI developed a small ‘widget’ application that tracks the Cisco, Foundry, F5, Juniper, and Brocade markets on Ebay. LMI allows people to quickly see current market and also the historical markets for a wide variety of different assets. At any given time, over 15,000 assets are tracked.
  3. LMI has developed a new business method that provides the lease and finance industry the ability to maximize residual values on operating leases. The driving technology and subsequent business method is patent pending
  4. LMI has developed a method of conducting its internal operations and organization that is unique in the business community. The technology and business method is patent pending at present. LMI is the initial ‘case study’ for the deployment of this business. Upon a successful implementation, LMI will spin out the technology into a separate company complete with its own management team. The method and technology are geared to thrive in the current economic climate.
